I know the Italy players are all very happy after winning the World Cup..I tot they usually take off top only..but this Italy player (I forgot the name) took off his SHORTS!!!! oMg...sO ugly loh..haha..

After a mth of World Cup..the end of this morning's match means the end of alot of things too..end of late nite for those soccer fans..end of the poor life for the World Cup widow..end of long que at the Singapore Pools counter..at least not for soccer betting..hee..

It will be another 4 yrs before this World Cup fever comes again..South Africa...

Got the following from Ms Karen:

IF Singapore does, perhaps by freak of nature or incredible monetary benefits like 20 tax-free years, make it to the World Cup 2010 in South Africa and get to play with the biggies, I suppose these will also happen:

1. MILO will launch an intensive marketing campaign in South Africa, which will basically involve distributing free cups of iced MILO to all soccer players and spectators at the stadium.

2. Singaporean fans will make a fool of themselves by doing the 100-metre dash to the nearest iced MILO distribution point. Watching soccer will be the last thing on their mind.

3. Singaporean soccer bookies will be stationed in South Africa to be closer to the action. Well, and also make it more convenient for Singaporean fans in South Africa to place bets. These Ah Beng bookies will be found sitting at nice al fresco cafes with one leg propped on their chair and yakking loudly in dialect.

4. Our soccer boys will skip soccer training and hang around strip clubs and sex shops. Blue films just can't beat 'live' action.

5. Singapore Police will be dispatched to South Africa to arrest anyone who wraps our highly-respected Singapore flag around their bum or wears it as a dress/shirt.

6. Singapore fans will choop (book) seats at the stadium for their friends by laying packets of tissue papers all over.

7. Singapore fans will sing national songs, like "Stand Up For Singapore" to motivate the Singapore soccer team. Some clever fans will sing an edited version, like "Score Goal For Singapore".

8. Singapore fans will recycle National Day Parade toys, such as the colourful flashlights and clappers, and make them useful while watching the match at the soccer stadium.

9. Singapore fans will confuse other spectators when they scream "Referee kayu!". Other spectators will just wonder why the Singapore fans keep getting the Referee's name wrong.

10. Singapore fans will pester the World Cup organising committee for goody bags filled with souvenirs, packet drinks, local-made biscuits and snacks. If there are no goody bags, or if the contents are miserable, the Singapore fans will complain till the cows come home..

True..no? hee..
